The Mayors Council of Oklahoma’s Summer Conference will be held June 21-23, 2012 in Midwest City. The annual conference provides mayors, vice-mayors and their families an opportunity to experience the best the hosting city has to offer, as well as numerous training and networking opportunities. Midwest City Mayor Jack Fry and the city staff will organize the conference and they have tremendous plans for MCO mayors and their families.

Thursday morning is reserved for a golf scramble at the beautiful John Conrad Golf Course followed up by dinner and entertainment during the Concert in the Park series at Regional Park. On Friday join in on the Tinker Air Force Base “behind the scenes” tour that the City of Midwest City has planned, which will include lunch and an extensive Q&A session while exploring this breathtaking facility.

While mayors attend development sessions on Saturday morning, other guests are invited to shop in Midwest City’s extensive Town Center Plaza. The MCO and OML boards will also hold their annual planning session during the Summer Conference.

Rotating roundtable sessions with hot topics to stimulate the discussion are planned. Every year the attendees have been surprised by the innovations and local treasures of the host city. This year we are sure it will be the same. Whether we're in Woodward, Weatherford, Clinton, Broken Arrow, or Midwest City, it’s time to discover Oklahoma municipalities at their best and you can’t beat the hospitality!

Watch for sign-up materials in the mail and on the OML website, www.oml.org, under Municipal Groups, MCO section. If you have any questions please contact Sarah Lingenfelter at sarah@oml.org or 405-528-7515, 800-324-651.
